What should I do if the Segway product cannot be turned on when I first try using it?
Some of our models will require you to plug the charger in to activate them as they are in sleep mode the first time you activate them.
How many riding modes do the Segway Kickscooters have?
Segway Scooters have 3-4 modes depending on the model, these modes are walk mode, economy, normal and sports mode.
How do I change riding modes on my Segway Scooter?
To change riding modes, after the scooter is turned on, simply tap the power button quickly, to change modes.
How do I ride a Segway Kickscooter?
Power up the scooter and push off, once you are at 3kms, accelerate and place both feet on the kickboard. Please ensure you are wearing protective safety gear including helmet and protective pads.
Can I ride the scooter on rainy days or over puddles?
Although all our scooters are rated IPX4 and above, we do not recommend riding in the rain or through puddles due to safety.
How long does a segway battery last?
Our scooters battery has a 12 month warranty, but for general users the battery will last around 2-3 years.
Is the Segway battery removable
No, please do not attempt to remove the battery as this will void the warranty and can be potentially dangerous if not done by a qualified technician. Please contact our service team at service@segway.com.au, and they can assist with booking for service.
Can I increase or decrease the top speed of a Segway Scooter
All Segway Scooters are designed to comply with local Australian Laws, and the speed limit is capped at 25km/hr. You can modify lower the maximum speed using the Segway app

What is the best tyre pressure for my scooter?
Your Segway Scooter should be 40-45PSI, please ensure you are checking this ever 2 to 4 weeks, this will ensure you get the best riding experience and maintain the life of the motor and tyres.

How do I install the Segway app on my device
The Segway app is available through the Apple store and Google Play store
Do I need to install the Segway app to ride my Segway product
Yes, the scooter will not have full functionality and will be speed limited. The app allows you to control multiple functions of the scooter including speed lighting and security customisation and allows the user to also monitor the scooters performance, how many km/s driven etc.
Can more then 1 Segway app be connected to the same scooter?
No, only 1 master account can be setup for security reasons.
Can I use the Apple find-my App to track my scooter?
Yes, on certain Segway models this feature is available. Please check the product page found on segway.com.au for compatibility.
